WHAT to EXPECT:
•An open recovery meeting (all “A’s” welcome!)
•20 minute, accessible yoga practice- wear comfortable clothes
•Short step reflections (week one, Step 1, etc.) led by volunteers with at least 1 year recovery
•10 minute silent meditation
WHY YOGA & MEDITATION?
•“The issues live in our tissues” (Nikki Meyers, founder, Y12SR)
•Memories/traumas of our past dwell all throughout our body: mindful breath and movement work helps us to release the past.
•Deepen your 10th Step work by practicing nonjudgmental self study
•Practice your 11th Step in a supportive setting
•Deepen your emotional sobriety through mind/body/spirit connection
